Best tour of Martinique.

This was an excellent tour of the Southern part of the island. Our guide, Akina, was extremely informative and displayed a very positive and bubbly attitude during the entire excursion which made it especially fun. She gave us much more information than we had expected. We had quite a few stops including Les Anse d'Arlets where we visited a beautiful church and a beach, Memorial Cap 110 which is dedicated to slaves who perished in a shipwreck, le Diamant, which is a rock outcrop which was once a fortified defense, an outdoor market which sold fruit, vegetables, spices and clothing, and also a rum factory where you could taste some of their products. A tour worth every penny..
Loved South Martinique

We really enjoyed seeing the South portion of Martinique. The small group of 8 had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Lucille and the driver were both great.
Nice Overview of Southern Martinique

Stopped at Pottery Village; interesting place but some of the exhibitors were a little short when answering questions. Interesting pottery but worried about breakage so didn't buy. Loved the spices, but mostly in bags and can't take back to the US. On to Les Anses d' Arlet for a beach break; most of us just walked around the charming little town. Our guide provided some drinks and homemade cake, yum! Brief stop at Diamond Rock; didn't get the affect of a diamond, but it was so sunny out that it wasn't a distraction. On to Cap 110 sculpture, a memorial about slavery. Represents trade between Africa, Europe and America and gives one pause to realize how cruel we can be to each other. Quick stop at a local market but it was closing. Final stop was at Trois Rivieres Distillery. Good liquor, but again trying to get it home in checked luggage a challenge. A shame because it did have a good taste. All in All, a good representation of Martinique.
Very entertaining and relaxing tour

I went on the Southern Tour with my girlfriend and was very pleased to get on board with Beyond the Beach! The tour guide was very friendly, she was enthusiastic and liked to share her knowledge about the island ! The pottery Village is very cute, and shops show you some good crafts! The best stop for us was at the beach, were we could enjoy swimming next to a reef and see some fish! The History of the island is very special and interesting! I recommend this tour!
Decent tour

Our tour guide was easy to find right at the end of the pier. We had eight passengers in a twenty passenger van so we had plenty of room. Our guide was a very nice young lady who was obviously knowledgeable and informative about her country. She was also fun to listen to speaking English with her French accent. We visited a pottery factory near Les Trois-Ilets, a beach at Anses d-arlet, and photo stops at Diamond Rock and the Memorial de L’Anse Coffard. The next stop was the village of Diamont for bakery and market. Our last stop was the Trois Rivieres Rum factory for some samples. Overall it was a decent, interesting tour. Maybe just a little overpriced but it was five hours so not a big deal. I would recommend this tour.
